The XXI Minsk Shogi Cup was held on December 21-22 in the conference hall of the Willing Hotel. In addition to Minsk residents, players from 6 cities of Belarus, Poland and Russia came to the tournament – a total of 73 shogi fans played in the championship.

In the final game, the main trophy was played for by Piotr Shcheslenok and Maksim Starikov – the only ones who were able to overcome the tough sieve of the knockout games of the Olympic system. As a result, Piotr won the decisive game and the entire tournament. And 6 athletes at once claimed the bronze of the competition, having defeated five opponents out of six. But for the second year in a row, the odds favored Vlad Kashchonok.

Congratulations to the entire top three:

🥇

1. Shcheslenok Piotr (Katowice) 4 dan;

🥈

2. Starikov Maksim (Minsk) 2 dan;

🥉

3. Kashchonok Vladislav (Minsk) 2 dan.

Also, winners in various age categories were awarded and all participants were given prizes.
