On the last day of November 13 people of 6 different nationalities met for a shogi tournament in Bratislava, Slovakia. Specialty of the tournament were gingerbreads in the shape of shogi pieces that participants of the tournaments could enjoy along with sushi and other japanese snacks.

The 5 round Swiss tournament was won by 🥇Eduard Paňko (5 wins) from Slovakia who recently achieved second place in the B tournament of the International Shogi Forum 2024. Second place went to 🥈Rainer Staberhofer (4 wins) from Austria and third came 🥉Kei Yamaguchi (4 wins) from Japan.
