Shogi Deutschland is happy to host the European Shogi Championships (ESC) and the World Open Shogi Championships (WOSC) next year. From August 6-9, 2026, Paderborn, a city in the heart of Germany, will become the meeting point for the European shogi community.

The venue, Liborianum Paderborn, is located in the city centre of Paderborn within a former cloister with 400 years of history. The conference centre was fully modernised in 2020 and offers state-of-the-art facilities to ensure a comfortable tournament experience.We look forward to welcoming shogi players from across Europe and around the world to Paderborn!
